Privacy Policy

İbadetim is an app by Karanfil Software offering prayer times, the Holy Quran, group Quran completion (Khatm) and daily worship tools. We respect your privacy: we process only the minimum data the app needs, and we never sell your personal data.

This policy explains what we process, why, who we share it with, and your rights.

What Data We Process

• Account: your email address and chosen display name if you sign in. With Google/Apple sign-in we receive only basic identity info; your password never reaches us.
• Location: the city/district you select is used for prayer times and Qibla. In the mosque finder, your momentary GPS position is queried only to fetch nearby mosques — it is not stored on our servers and not linked to your identity.
• Reading data: to verify progress in Khatm groups, your in-app reading sessions (page + duration) are recorded on the server.
• Group content: your messages in Khatm chat are delivered to group members and stored on the server; your display name is visible to group members.
• Purchases: your subscription status (active/inactive and plan) is processed for verification. Payment happens entirely through Google Play / the App Store; your card details never reach us.
• Device: a push notification token so we can send notifications; for ads (if you consent) an advertising identifier and basic diagnostics.

How We Use Data

We use your data only to provide the app's features: showing prayer times, verifying Khatm progress, sending notifications, recognizing your subscription. We do not sell your personal data or add you to marketing lists.

Advertising

The free version may show Google AdMob ads. Ads are never shown on the Quran reading screen or in prayer-time notifications. On iOS you are asked for permission for personalized ads (App Tracking Transparency); if you decline, the app keeps working fully and ads are simply not personalized. A Premium subscription removes all ads.

• Supabase — hosting of account, Khatm and message data (servers in the EU, Frankfurt).
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications.
• Google AdMob — ads in the free version.
• Aladhan — prayer time calculation; only coordinates are sent, no identity.
• Resend — account verification and password reset emails.
• Google Play / App Store — payments and subscription management.

Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). All communication is encrypted with TLS; row-level access rules are enforced on the server — each user can only access their own data and the data of groups they belong to.

Your Rights & Account Deletion

Under GDPR and Turkish KVKK you have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data. You can permanently delete your account anytime in the app (Profile → Delete my account): your account and personal data are deleted, and your traces in group content are de-identified. You can also reach us by email for any request.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if we become aware of such data, we delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we publish the new version on this page and announce significant changes in the app.
